Ruah International Ministry began with a God-given desire to build a Spirit-led, multicultural church where people from every background can encounter Jesus and grow as disciples. Under the leadership of Pastor Michael and First Lady Adiva Rivera, Ruah was founded on the conviction that “where the Spirit leads, we follow.” What started as a small gathering in Lorton, VA has become a growing family committed to prayer, worship, and the Great Commission—reaching the hurting, restoring families, and helping people discover their God-given purpose.
Pastor Michael and First Lady Adiva Rivera have a deep love for people and a passion to see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit. Growing up in diverse communities and serving in various ministry roles, they’ve witnessed firsthand how God can bring healing, unity, and purpose to individuals and families from every walk of life.
Before founding Ruah International Ministry, Pastor Michael and Adiva served in leadership, outreach, and discipleship ministries where they saw God move powerfully across cultural and generational lines. Their heart has always been to create a church where the presence of God is welcomed, the Word is taught with clarity, and people are encouraged to grow into the life God designed for them.
Today, Ruah International Ministry is a Spirit-led, multicultural church in Lorton, VA where people come together to know Jesus, experience His love, and walk in their God-given purpose. We believe every person has a place in God’s Kingdom, and at Ruah, you’ll find a family ready to walk with you as you grow, serve, and make an impact in your community and beyond.
